Democrats: Colleges Must Police Copyright or ALL Students Lose Financial Aid



New federal legislation says universities must agree to provide not just deterrents but also "alternatives" to peer-to-peer piracy, such as paying monthly subscription fees to the music industry for their students, on penalty of losing all financial aid for their students.

I have mix feelings about this and not sure if I agree. I understand how important it is to educate everyone not to download music for free but I also understand how important financial aid can be to students that don't have the financial support at home. If the schools decide not to sign to these music services like napster or ruckus then students are the ones that will pay the price for it.
