While young voters broke heavily for Barack Obama in Iowa, the crucial youth vote of New Hampshire may still be up for grabs.
For months Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign was seen as less focused on youth outreach, perhaps because young voters traditionally did not turn out.
Clinton did not speak on college campuses as often as Obama and her Facebook group is a fraction the size of his.
Further, her campaign suggested that students who moved to Iowa for college should not caucus.
And Clinton adviser Mark Penn was heard mocking Obama’s supporters as “looking like Facebook.”
But "Facebook" came out to vote in historically large numbers Thursday, and the outcome Tuesday may well hinge on it.
In New Hampshire, as in Iowa, independents can vote in the primary.
Young independents have tended to favor Obama over Clinton at a higher margin than young Democrats have.
