Voto Latino is committed to internet privacy. In accordance with internet privacy, no personally identifiable information is collected on our site, unless users voluntarily submit information on votolatino.org. Users can submit information such as zipcode and email address on our site.
Our site is equipped with general analytics, which collects users general geographical location (such as state and country), behavior on site, referring site, and browser type. However, a user’s name and specific contact information is never collected, unless said user intentionally submitted his/her email or name to our site.
Our contact lists, which include names and email addresses, may be shared with organization that partner with Voto Latino on initiatives and/or exchanged with organizations that share Voto Latino’s civic engagement mission. We will only share this information to further the Voto Latino mission: to increase young Latino civic engagement in the U.S. Users can opt out of such email lists at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of emails from us. We will not share our data base with for-profit organizations.
Voter Registration:
If you mail in your voter registration, it generally becomes a matter of public record with your state. Voter registration information can be used by candidates for public office and other campaign/political organizations that qualify for access to such information under the state law governing its use.
